I am 53 years old. My first name is Juanita, but I prefer Darlene.
I have my roots strongly planted in the country. My partner and I built our home in an old hay field in 2005. We did alot of the work in the house and on the grounds ourselves. I usually tend to the flower beds and my partner worries about the vegtable garden. We live a simple life composting, recycling and growing our own vegetables. We work hard during the week and attend church on Sundays. I am spiritual, creative, a cat lover and a quiet person.
My interests other than Photography include Web Design, Photoshop, Crocheting, Tarot reading and making bird houses from the gourds that my partner grows for me.
I have 2 dogs and 7 cats. Below is my family.
Chris, my partner. She is a farmer at heart. She grew up in the country.
Emily, my pound puppy. She is the best dog ever. She has adapted to farm life quite nicely. |
Thor, my second dog. He has an invisable fence because of his manners (or lack thereof). He's a famous vole hunter. It's impossible to keep him clean.
Christy, my oldest. She was given to me for Christmas 14 years ago. |
Zoey, She's our huntress. She keeps the mice away.
Milly, She prefers dogs to other cats for companions.
Katrina, She was named after a huricane. She was just a baby when I got her and she had to be bottle fed. She has an attitude when she doesn't get things her way thus her name. I adore her.
Gem-Socks, She likes the outdoors even in the dead of winter. She is our Snow Kitty.
Kalie, My shadow. I have so many pictures of her because she follows me everywhere I go especially when she sees I have brought my camera.
Baby, She came to live with us Febuary 2010. She was a stray that my friend Kathy fed. Kathy kept asking me to take her. I finally said yes. I don't regret it. She has made herself at home and planted her roots much like myself. She is our limit. Sadly, I have a limit.
