Photography II
Juanita Darlene Duncan
week 1
"Stand back about six to eight feet from your subject. Get that camera to the "M" mode, or whatever the setting is for manual. Dial in an ISO speed of 200, or if using film, use ISO200. And for this exercise let us set the f stop to f8 or f8.0."

This is a shady spot down by the creek behind my house in our tree line. It's a quiet place where I usally take a chair in the summer to read. It's nice and cool and the sound of the running water is soothing. |

My garden gaurdian. I will have to give her some garden gloves for hands.

A over cast week. The 200 ISO probably wasn't the best choice, but it was the rules and I stuck by them. The cat creeped into this picture. |

One of my gourds that I made into a wren bird house. The wrens are song birds. The males make the nest. He stuffs it full of small twigs and then sings for the female to come and inspect the nest. If she approves, they go on a date. The male creates nest everywhere and has more then one date. He has even been known to make a nest in the pocket of jeans on a cloths line. One day I had sprayed a finish on my bird houses and had them outside to dry on a cloths rack. A wren tried to move in within minutes. I got my camera out and photographed the little guy. They are fun to watch and their song is not bad either. |

Emily she was keeping her eye on me while I photographed. Had not to point and shoot her as well.

Always a subject lurking.

I only have 5 photographs this week. The weather has not cooperated with me. I'm glad for the rain. On our corner of the world the farmers need it. Sunny days are around the corner.
