week 4
"We covered a lot of ground here this week. I've given you some ideas. Take 6 to 12 images, based on
something we covered here and post along with your comments and don't hesitate to ask questions."

Shooting upwards towards the skyline
Early Morning, the sun is finally found a way through the clouds. It has been very rainy, dark and dreary here the last few days.
At first, I had trouble capturing the sun rays. The flash kept going off and whiting them out. I was able to to shoot without the flash on manual and get the picture I was looking for.
Aperture Priority, 7.1 F Stop, 4.4 aperture, ISO 800 and 70mm

Taking a Closer Look Around You.
These oil pumps are located everywhere here in Holmes County, OH.
The sun was out full force and the histogram was mostly to the right.
|
|
 |
Manual settings, F Stop 4.5, Aperture F 4.4, ISO 400, 70 mm and the sun was over head.
I'm not sure if I did the picture any justice or not. I edited the levels so the histogram reads like this now.
blew out highlights by over exposing and I couldn't get those back
I should have change the EV to the negative?

Manual, Depth 4.5, Aperture 4.4, ISO 400 and 70 mm
Going for the depth in this picture.
|
|
 |
Low angle, no self exposure. Not sure if this falls into catagory with the lesson. : )
Manual, 4.5 F Stop, Aperture 3.5, 400 ISO and 18mm

 |
Wide Angle View.
Manual, 4.5 F Stop, F3.5 Aperture, 400 ISO, 18 mm
Shooting with the lens at 18 gives the depth.

 |
Same scene as above shot with same settings except the aperture was 4.4 and 70mm. With 70 mm, the sunlight was magnified as well leaving the image somewhat over exposed.
Thanks for the lessons!
