Assignment: "Create some HDR images using whatever software you are using for this course, or try out new software if you can get a trial version. Don't worry if the software puts "trial" across your images. We will simply ignore those."

My gear: My camera is a Nikon D40 with a 18-70 Nikon lens. My tripod is something I purchased at a retail store.

Most DSLR's support bracketing, Nikon D40's do not. I have to adjust the settings manually between each shot. This is a real pain. I will keep this in mind for my next camera.

I shot the 3 bracket images with my camera on it's side. I was experimenting with the tripod. There is some shadow in the leaves from the tree top right corner. I think when I hit the button on my camera that I move it a tad.

I sat the camera on window of car and snaped this.

I cropped and played around with the above image. I never leave things alone.

I have photomatix Pro and it comes with an extention for Photoshop. I tried that but found it didn't do as much as the program photomatix. It didn't have the option to use presets. I quickly decided that was not for me. I never found any other trials for HDR software, and I have to admit I didn't search but once and was side tracked. I created my HDR's and loaded them in Photoshop and edited them changing some of the levels. This was a fun lesson and once again I ran out of time.
